Chinanews: With independently researched and developed sci-tech achievements playing a leading role, the 20th CHITEC will attract 19 countries

A series of China’s major sci-tech breakthroughs as well as leading-edge technologies and innovative products, such as Tiangong-2 and docking module VR experience cabin, Mars detector and C919 large jetliner, will make their appearance on the 20th China Beijing International High-tech Expo (CHITEC) this June. 20 governmental, sci-tech and commercial delegations from 19 countries and regions, including France, Russia and Brazil will attend the Expo.

On the May 23rd news briefing, Lin Bin, Deputy Director of the Office of the CHITEC Organizing Committee explained that the year 2017 marks the 20th anniversary of the CHITEC. According to incomplete statistics, the previous 19 sessions have featured the attendance of over 900 overseas governmental, sci-tech and trade delegations from more than 100 countries and regions. Approximately 120,000 Chinese and overseas business men have been attracted, signing 5,432 contracts, agreements and intention letters with a total value of nearly RMB 922.864 billion.
