“To Promote Marine Sci-tech Innovation and Serve China's Maritime Strategy”: The 4th International Marine Science and Marine Economy Exhibition will Take Place at CIEC

Organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China (MOST), China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China (SIPO) and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality and co-organized by CCPIT Beijing, the 21st China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (CHITEC) will be held through May 17 (Thursday) to 20 (Sunday) in Beijing. As an important part of this year’s exhibitions, the 4th International Marine Science and Marine Economy Exhibition will take place at China International Exhibition Center (Old Venue).

The Exhibition will be organized by the Department of Science and Technology of the State Oceanic Administration and CHITEC Organizing Committee and co-organized by Publicity and Education Center of the State Oceanic Administration and World Trade Centre Beijing (WTC Beijing). Under the theme “Promote Marine Sci-tech Innovation and Serve China's Maritime Strategy”, the Exhibition will build a platform of cooperation and exchange among China and other oceanic states as well as domestic and overseas marine institutions and enterprises.

The Exhibition will demonstrate China’s major achievements in promoting marine industries through sci-tech development, delivering innovative progress in marine economy and building marine ecological civilization. SeaWing Underwater Glider, Blue Whale 1 for combustible ice mining, Snow Eagle, unmanned smart vessel and other major marine sci-tech models will hold the spotlight.

Since its debut at the 2012 CHITEC, the International Marine Sci-Tech & Marine Economy Exhibition has been held for three successful years. It is reported that, by dint of CHITEC’s weights and resources, the Exhibition has become a showcase of China’s major achievements in marine sci-tech innovation and marine economic development as well as a key platform for exchanges, cooperation and trades between Chinese and foreign governments, enterprises, universities, research institutions and customers.
